I do not intend to spend a lot of money on this campaign (you have no doubt concluded that already, after viewing my other pages!).
I intend to take office owing everything to everyone in general and nothing to anyone in particular.
However, the process is not completely free of expenses, and I would appreciate your help in keeping the effort on a break-even basis.
This is what I would like you to understand and agree to if you choose to contribute:
- Legally, I cannot accept contributions from corporations or labor organizations. I also choose not to accept them frm PACs or limited liability entities (LLPs, LLCs, etc.).
- Please do not contribute more than $100. If I need to raise that ceiling, I will say so later on these web pages.
- You agree that by making a contribution, or soliciting them from others, you are not seeking any special access to or influence over me. Rather, you are trusting me to exercise my best judgment for the good of our country, state, and world (in that order), and to exercise the three big "Ls" -- to listen, learn, and lead.
- Contributions to candidates for federal office do not qualify for reimbursement under Minnesota's contribution refund program. That program is limited to state candidates and party organizations.
